Your teacher can mimic so well that it makes you say, “wow!”
It is not often that we get to know the fun side of our teachers. They usually come across as stern individuals in a classroom setting. If you laugh or look distracted, you risk being punished. I have had to deal with quite a few such situations myself.
While I am not a mischievous student, I have faced the wrath of my teachers because of my friends. I had started to think that our teachers always go around with that disapproving look on their faces. I imagined them to be like that, even with their own family members. I thought they slept with a frown too. But my opinion changed after a class picnic.
How It All Started!
I had never seen my mathematics teacher, Mr. Sharma, smile so much until that day. We were off to a daylong picnic on the city outskirts, and the bus was packed with students. A couple of teachers, other than our class teacher, had come along.
On our way, we enjoyed different activities starting from singing, playing dumb charades, and so much more. The fun levelled up when our teachers joined too. Our class teacher, Mrs. Nanda, coaxed Mr. Sharma to flaunt some of his skills. We didn’t know what she was talking about.
At one point, we thought our mathematics teacher would be angry about the request. But to our surprise, something unforgettable happened on that bus.

The Incident
Soon, we heard a familiar voice boom inside the bus. Mr. Sharma had started talking like Amitabh Bachchan, in the exact same voice! Had we not been looking; we would have thought it was a recording of the superstar.
He switched to mimicking Barack Obama a few minutes later. Then, he said lines from the movie Godfather, just like Al Pacino had recited them.
It was really a ‘wow’ moment for us. Our teacher was actually letting go. Then, he chose to mimic people around us, starting with our disciplinarian principle. We were clenching our stomachs with loud laughter.

Final Thoughts
It was indeed a fun day not only because we got to know that our teachers are like regular people too, but also because we discovered their incredible talents.
As educators, they are good at their subjects. But they possess other skills too. I can now say: My maths teacher mimics so well; it makes me go, ‘wow!’
